Overview

BB60D HF/VHF/UHF/SHF

The BB60D is a 6 GHz real‑time, high‑speed spectrum analyzer capable of streaming 140 MB/s of digitized RF data to a PC over USB 3.0. It offers an instantaneous bandwidth of 27 MHz and sweep speeds up to 24 GHz/s. When paired with a high‑performance storage device (≥250 MB/s sustained write speed), the BB60D operates as a powerful RF recorder, streaming up to 80 MS/s IF or 40 MS/s I/Q data directly to disk.

Spectrum analysis is enabled through Signal Hound’s proprietary API, capable of executing up to 1.2 million FFT spectra per second or 320 million FFT points per second. This real‑time performance feeds the Spike GUI application or can be accessed from user‑developed software.

With improved selectivity, extended dynamic range, and strong performance in congested RF environments, the BB60D excels at detecting weak signals in the presence of strong interferers. With a −30 dBm reference level, the instrument can display signals down to its DANL (Displayed Average Noise Level), making it a highly capable tool for both spectrum analysis and RF recording.
